Alex Genova

Alex joined Transwestern’s Rosemont, Illinois office in 2017. He concentrates his efforts in the Chicago MSA and Indiana markets. He is a commercial property investment sales specialist with a wide and deep knowledge of income-producing real estate investments and owner-occupied facilities and buildings. Alex has an inherent intuition for value, backed with solid valuation experience. He is a meticulously detailed and contract-savvy team member, representative, and strategic advisor.

Alex has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience. He started his commercial real estate career in the mid-90s with Horn Company Development of Las Vegas as a Construction Controller. In 1999, he relocated to the Midwest and served as CFO for CBRE Sturges and Sturges Development Corporation in Northern Indiana, overseeing the financial operations of the company’s property management, corporate, land development, and construction profit centers. In 2004, he entered commercial brokerage and has since contributed to over $750 million in transactions.

Alex applies a multi-layered financial and practical approach to valuing commercial real estate. His knowledge of commercial and industrial properties comes from his hands-on brokerage experience and exposure to numerous buildings, facilities, and production and operational settings across several industries throughout his career. Alex also has extensive knowledge of land entitlement, development, and site selection.
